The personal retreat will be designed according to your personal needs and wishes. You can come for a weekend or for any length of your choice. Contact us well in advance to get the most out of your personal retreat.
In addition, you can come for one of our pre-scheduled retreats. We focus on breathing exercises and meditation techniques in a scheduled retreat.
We welcome you who want to come alone, or with your partner. Due to the Corona virus situation we do not accept larger groups. Send us a message via WhatsApp and we will design a retreat according to your wishes.
Your teachers at the eco retreats are Liz and Lars
Liz from Maumere, Flores
From her childhood her mother has given her the ability to connect deeply to nature. Liz has learnt everything about healing plants in nature. As a result, her connection to nature has made her a natural meditator. Together with her experience of life, this makes her an excellent counsellor. Liz has also studied midwifery at University in Indonesia. She is an experienced school teacher and teaches traditional Indonesian dancing. Her passion is to combine what she learnt in school with what mother nature offers. Liz is fluent in both Indonesian and English.
Lars from Sweden
Lars has for 30 years been practising meditation and yoga. During 15 years he was teaching yoga asana, pranayama, yoga nidra and meditation. Both in yoga schools and on retreats around the world. In addition, he organized yoga retreats in Sweden and abroad during 10 years. He is a certified Ayurvedic Life Style Consultant. Lars passion is to give people tools to manage their busy lives. English and Spanish are languages he master fluenntly.
Retreat options and price
Weekend retreat (2 nights)
For those of you who cannot take time off from your work, we offer weekend retreats. The weekend retreat starts Friday 17.00 and finishes Sunday 17.00. The price for a weekend retreat is 1.000.000 Rp, which includes full board accommodation and all counselling and meditation classes.
Flexible length retreat
We offer retreats with a length of your choice.Start of the retrat is on the first day at 17:00. Last day it ends at 17:00. The price is 500,000 Rp per night. That includes full board accommodation together with all counselling and meditations.

The price is 500.000 Rp per night, which includes full board accommodation and all meditations.
During breakfast, lunch and dinner, we practice mindful eating. For instance, the meals always start with a silent period. Our food is mainly organic and comes from our gardens, or from our surrounding farmers. At the retreats, we offer Vegan and Vegetarian food. Furthermore, all meals are traditional Flores food prepared over open fire. If you have any food intolerances or food allergies let us know beforehand.
The techniques we teach on the scheduled eco retreat
Yoga Asana – Postures
Every morning we start with a very soft yoga asana program. As a result, the energies starts flowing in the body.
In our busy every day life the energies easily get stocked in the joints, neck and shoulders. Therfore we have to open up so the energies start flowing again.
We will mainly practise yoga asana from Swami Satyanandas Pawanmuktasana series. These are the perfect asanas both for completely beginners and for more experienced practitioners.
Pranayama – Breathing techniques
During a retreat, you will learn three different breathing techniques.
Nadhi sodhana – alternate nostril breathing
A very relaxed, balancing breath that is used to calm the nervous system. Secondly it aids in getting a restful night’s sleep.
Sitali has a cooling effect on mind and body. Therefore it is perfect to use in hot climates.
Bhramari Pranayama – Bumblebee Breath
This is a another calming breath practice. Bhramari can relieve stress and furthermore agitation, and anger.
Yoga Nidra – Yogic sleep
Yoga Nidra is a state in which the body is completely relaxed. In summary, you become systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following the verbal instructions.
This is a powerful technique which helps you reduce stress. Furthermore, 30 min of Yoga Nidra is claimed to give the same effect as 2 hours of deep sleep.
After the retreat you will receive a recording. You can then continue your practice of Yoga Nidra at home
Trataka – Concentration
Trataka is a concentration method that involves staring at a single point. The point can be a small object, black dot or candle flame. In addition it is a purification technique. As a result, trataka brings energy to the third eye.
By fixing the gaze the restless mind comes to a halt. It helps controlling the blink reflex stimulates the pineal gland. Trāṭaka enhances the ability to concentrate. In addition, it increases the power of memory and brings the mind to a state of awareness, attention and focus.
In the retreat we will use either the candle flame or a black dot on a white pape In addition, the full moon can be used as the object of concentration.
Meditation techniques at the retreat
Loving Kindness Meditation
Loving kindness meditation is a self-care technique that can be used to boost well-being and reduce stress. As a result, regular practice of loving kindness meditation increases your capacity for forgiveness and self-acceptance. During loving kindness meditation, you send loving energy toward yourself and others.
Mindful breathing is a very basic yet powerful mindfulness meditation practice. The idea to focus your attention on the breathing. Above all, you foucus on the breath’s natural rhythm. For instance, the way it feels on each inhale and exhale.
Meditation at the retreat
Antar Mouna – Inner silence
Antar Mouna is a powerful and transformative meditation practice. Furthermore, this technique is suitable for all levels of practitioners, including beginners. Antar Mouna is a meditation technique that involves transforming and controlling thought processes through self-awareness and mindfulness.
One of the basic methods for cultivating mindfulness is walking meditation. This technique involves focusing closely on the physical experience of walking. In other words, you pay attention to the different components of each step.
